Check Engine light was on. Wife was concerned that the car may fail and leave her stranded. Asked Re-Born Automotive to diagnose the cause(s) of the Check Engine light. Within 30 minutes the diagnosis showed two codes, neither of a serious (leave the driver stranded) nature. Re-Born Automotive reset the Check Engine light. Cliff delivered the news of the diagnosis and the alternatives for dealing with the codes. I chose the 'do nothing' option, for now. Wife is happy; so am I. "Happy wife' happy life!" What more can you ask of an auto shop than honesty and expertise? In addition ReBorn has the best, most comfortable waiting room ever, and they just feel like friends. And they'll take me to my office so I can work while they work on my cars. Have never used anyone else since moving to PDX in 2010, or since I moved to East Vancouver, WA a year ago. It's farther to get there now, but I never thought of even looking for another shop.

Reborn somehow has to incubate like-minded and equally-skilled Reborns all over the country. They have customer service, quality, honesty and fair pricing down to an art. Best automotive repair team I've come across in my 52 years of driving. I've owned 14 cars across all those years. My wife's and my present cars are in the best possible hands. We never worry.

I am new to Portland, so when my 2008 MINI started having issues, it took it to the MINI dealership. I did this immediately when my tire pressure light "(!)" went on and there was , in fact, no loss of tire pressure... but for some reason, the MINI dealership kept the car for a week and could not fix this issue... a few weeks later I started the car one morning to find it was running terribly and reeking of gasoline. I drove it slowly back to the dealer. they kept it for a day and then told me that i needed to have a cylinder rebuilt for something like $5000. At that point a coworker told me to take it to Re-Born and ask for Cliff. So i did.At Re-Born they had no trouble correctly diagnosing the issues and fixing my car for a fraction of the price that I was quoted at the dealership. Specifically, the tire pressure light was due to a bad wheel sensor, and the misfire of cylinder 4 was not at all what the dealer said - instead it was due to a bad fuel injector that was stuck open and flooding the cylinder with gasoline and washing away the oil, etc.THANK YOU, CLIFF!

Words can't say enough about how much I appreciate the staff at Re-Born, especially Cliff who I have been working with. I called them yesterday to get a second opinion on a quote that I was given from the dealership. I was connected with Cliff, and I could tell that my day had just gotten better. Not knowing anything about cars, I explained to him what the issue was and he hopped right on the project. Cliff must have spent 3-4 hours researching the issue (calling me multiple times to confirm car related information) all before I spent a penny with this company. I will no doubt make Re-Born Automotive my first stop shop for any future car related issues. The kindness, dedication, and knowledge made me really appreciate what good service should be.
