Maintaining an older vehicle can get expensive. Even though I trust without question that your charge for the work is fair, I think you might be wise to revisit one policy. That policy would be when determining a problem, in this case an alternator, the $40 diagnostic charge should be reduced or waived if the customer authorizes Reborn to do the work. If the customer does not authorized Reborn to do the work, then a diagnostic charge for your time would be appropriate. A similar analogy would be that remodelers do not charge for their time to bid a job. HVAC contractors do not. Some plumbers do and I have just moved onto the next listing. Thanks for listening.
